Who does more?

Last night I got home from work and Michael was watching a movie so I started on dinner. About 15 minutes later Michael’s movie had finished and he came out to the kitchen and took over so I set the table.

At the dinner table…

Jed: Did you cook dinner mum?

Me: No, dad cooked dinner and I helped.

Jed: So dad did it all?

Grace: Jed, mum’s been at work all day!

Me: Thanks for sticking up for me, Grace.

Jed: But still, dad did all the hard work!

Grace: Mum’s not lazy, Jed! Every day she has to walk from her car to the train!

I must say… that 100 metres is a killer!
